Resist & Rest

Join Me For Some R & R

An evening of resistance to help you move and expand beyond the boundaries of both body and mind.

December 17th
7:15-8:45pm
Zoom

The holidays can be stressful, so take some time to join me live for a practice together. We will move, breathe and let the holiday craziness get directed into the bands and the movement. The tension will further melt away as we close with restorative practices.

You will get the recording, plus access to over a dozen replays of R&R practices for the entire month of December and the first week of January. More live classes will start at that point and be open for registration.

Come connect with your breath and body in a slow evening flow — playing with resistance in different postures to help you open up, build strength and find more freedom and ease. We close with a short meditation and a restorative pose, because rest is part of the work.

This series was created because random aches and pains seem to be common for those of us over 50 and I have learned over the years that stretching and relaxing isn't enough. Strength and resistance have a much better and longer lasting effect, so join me and treat yourself to the best of both worlds.

This practice has been quietly transformative for me. Less pain. More strength. Better recovery. Heavier loads. All kinds of goodness. I hope it helps you just as much!

Bands you'll need for classes:
I suggest getting a 6 yard spool of TheraBand in a resistance you are comfortable with.

We will make 2 stirrup bands out of this (there will be some left over that you can make another loop I plan to use in future classes).

We will also use a mini band, one of the small loop bands. They usually come in a pack of different resistances, which I recommend!

I will send instructions with registration on how to cut and tie them. If you already have a stirrup band with hard handles, we can make that work!

Investment:

$36
*You will need to buy your own bands.
