Restorative Nidra Drop in: In Person

Come melt away your tension, it's time to let go...

We will open with 2-3 restorative postures, held for 10-25 minutes each, in order to relax and release the tension held in our body. We will then close with a 20-30 minute yoga nidra to further release tension physically, mentally and emotionally.

Nidra is a guided meditation done lying down and you will have the option to do it in savasana or another restorative posture.

Join me for this in-person mini series at my Cedarbrae Studio.
The class will be limited to 6 people.

Sound Bath Drop in

Let us help you unwind. Come rest in the vibrations. My husband, Gareth, will be on bass clarinet or another instrument he feels called to use...flutes, sax or his voice and I will be chanting and creating sound in other ways to shift our attention, our vibration and energy to call in and help us align with certain intentions.

I will have a mat and restorative posture set up for you when you arrive. I have more blankets than you can imagine, sand bags and eye pillows. All you need is some water and whatever else you think could make you more comfortable, but I likely have it...layers are always a good idea.

We will start with a few gentle moves to release some tension before settling in. Some may choose to sit in meditation, then move into everyone's favourite, goddess/supta baddha konasana/heart bed/yogi lazy boy or perhaps you'll start there. If that doesn't suit you., there are many other options.

Once you are settled, we will spend a few minutes working with the breath, and perhaps some visualization, to help settle you in a bit more before we begin to build the sound bath.

Each bath will run about a 25-30 minutes followed by a few minutes of silence and then we will cycle through once more before we ground and head home for a peaceful night's sleep.

Please note that I have a cat and she may visit us.

To be able to truly relax is such a gift. When was the last time you felt rested, deeply rested?

With holidays coming and life in a busy phase, wouldn't it be lovely to unwind the tension you are holding physically, mentally and emotionally?

Wouldn't it be nice to feel like you can find a sense of peace in returning home to yourself as you try to hold it all together and maintain some semblance of control in the chaos? We see things differently when we are rested, we have more patience, our ability to communicate and be efficient improves. Life can feel a bit more manageable with proper rest.

Join me in moving into the holidays with a full tank. You won't regret it.

We will meet for 30-40 minutes every Tuesday night to do a nidra practice. I will open the Zoom room 5-10 minutes before so that you can settle in and we will begin promptly with practice. I will record each one for you to use for the week.

Restorative Nidra: New Year's Mini Series

It's time for deep rest. This is a season to turn in, pause, nurture and restore.

Join us for a peaceful and nourishing practice in an intimate setting with just 5 or 6 people. Our space is so cozy and inviting with Christmas lights, candles and a gentle jungle vibe - I may have some human sized plants🪴 ready to shelter you under their canopy.

We will open with 2-3 restorative postures, held for 10-25 minutes each in order to relax and release the tension held in our body, then close with a 20-30 minute yoga nidra to further release tension physically, mentally and emotionally.

Sound Bath & Brunch

Nourish body and mind with us. We will fill the room with the vibrations of mantra and music then fill our bellies with a delicious brunch.

The morning will begin with my husband Gareth playing bass clarinet, flute and perhaps something else if it calls and I will be chanting.

We will come out of our slumber and head upstairs to the kitchen for brunch.

All mats, props and food will be provided. All you need to bring is yourself!

We hope that you will join us for these monthly gatherings.
